Insurance
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan, however I do not bill your insurance company. Instead, I offer a bill at the end of the month upon request and you submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session for out of network providers?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Cash, check, pay pal and credit card are accepted for payment and is due at the time of the session.
Q&A:
Q: What can I expect?
A: Sessions are 50 minutes in length. If indicated, couples or family sessions may require a longer session and will have an increased fee, dependent upon their duration. Weekly sessions are the standard recommended frequency.
Q: What to expect from the first session?
A: In the first session, we will review your paperwork and the policies of our therapeutic work together. I will email the Intake Form to you prior to your first session so you can fill it out at home to save time during your session. The first session is also when you can get a feel for me and my approach so you can decide if we will be a good fit working together. You will be invited to begin giving a history of your challenges and we can begin to identify together the goals you have for your time in therapy. Please know that most people are nervous about the first session with a therapist. My goal is to welcome you with compassion and to help put you at ease with this entire process. Please let me know of any accommodations you may need for the first session. Please note that my office is on the 2nd floor and is not wheelchair accessible.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: No. Currently I do not accept any insurance nor am I on any insurance providers lists. I do, however, provide super bills monthly (on request) in order for my clients to receive reimbursements from their insurance carriers at out of network provider rates.
Q: How often should I attend therapy?
A: In the beginning, weekly sessions are recommended in order to build rapport and develop your goals for treatment. As time goes on and symptoms that brought you into therapy are reduced, we may decide to move sessions to biweekly or another frequency that is relevant to what’s going on in your life at that time.
Q: Do you offer a free consultation?
A: I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation so you can ask any questions you would like and I can give you a sense of how I work. The relationship between client and therapist has been shown to be the most important factor in favorable therapy outcomes and I support your efforts to find the right fit. Please call or email me to set up the free 15 minute phone consultation.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
